When people think of Martial Arts training, they generally picture kids ages ten to eighteen, when they are likely to start other sports. Venture Martial Arts teaches taekwondo classes starting at age five! You may be wondering, why would I want my five-year-old to learn kicking and punching? The reality is that while that is taught to the little ones, the skills that they gain from Martial Arts are actually excellent in their developmental stages.  Life Skills: Little Dragons (students ages five to six) are the youngest group of kids that are trained with Venture. In classes, they learn the nine life skills- discipline, respect, integrity, attitude, goals, dedication, perseverance, confidence, and focus. The taekwondo community is unlike any other sport community in the world. It involves a community of individuals from around the country and even the world that all have a common goal, to change the world one Black Belt at a time. The culture inside of each dojang is special, and a bond exists that can’t be found among other sports. Most people don’t understand the taekwondo community until they are a part of it, and once they start they never want to leave. Friendships: Those that train together, stay together.
