Hope everyone is enjoying the final stretch of summer! Here are your updates for the week.
💪 Labor Day Closure: September 5th–7th
All Venture schools will be CLOSED on Saturday, September 5th through Monday, September 7th in observance of Labor Day. Normal classes will resume on Tuesday, September 8th.
🥋 Keep Your Uniform Sharp
As we head back into the school year, it’s a great time to check that your student’s uniform still fits properly. If you need a replacement or a new size, speak with the front desk at your school.
🏅 Mile High Madness Tournament September 26th
Registration is open for the NMAA’s Mile High Madness Tournament, which will be held September 26th at the Colorado School of Mines’ Steinhauer Fieldhouse.
We encourage all students of all belt levels and ages to compete at tournaments (yes, even white belt Little Dragons) – no previous experience required!

Additional Tournament Information:
If your student is a beginner, we recommend signing up for the Recreational Ring. In this ring, instructors walk students through their form, which removes the memorization component. The Recreational Ring provides a fun, stress-free environment that introduces students to a tournament setting. All students ages 5-6 are automatically classified as Recreational.
The Competitive Ring is designed for students who have their form memorized (1st half of form only). Students compete for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place podium spots.
Students have the option to spar or do self-defense. This selection is made at the time of registration. If you don’t have sparring gear, self-defense is the best choice for you!

💵 Earn Money for your School!
Venture Martial Arts is giving back $50,000 to local schools across the Denver area!
We’re looking for parents within the Venture community who are involved with their school’s PTA or PTO and would like to help us bring our Give Back Program to their school. If that’s you, we’d love to connect. Please stop by the front desk to learn more.

Nationals are coming up in Colorado Springs on November 12–14 — start planning now! All Venture schools will be closed those dates. Learn more and register here.
📣 Refer a Friend to Venture Martial Arts
Know someone who’d love martial arts? Refer them to Venture and earn a month of free classes when they enroll! Simply have them mention your name when they sign up.
🥊 Sparring Gear Reminder
Level 2 students are required to have sparring gear to rank up. If your child is in Level 2 and has not yet obtained sparring gear, please speak with the front desk to review purchasing options. Gear takes 7–10 days to arrive.
