Schedule:
9:00 a.m. – 1st degree Midterms* [ photo album ]
11:00 a.m. – 2nd+ degree Midterms and 2nd+ degree Rank Testing [ photo album ]
1:30 p.m. – Central Park & Flatirons Black Belt Testing [ photo album ]
3:15 p.m. – Highlands Ranch, Evergreen, Lakewood, & Conifer Black Belt Testing [ photo album ]
Red belt and higher students who have never seen a Black Belt Testing are strongly encouraged to attend at least one before your own testing so you know what to expect.
*Midterms are tests that current black belts take every six months. They must pass a certain number of midterms before testing for their next rank. For example, to earn a 2nd-degree black belt, you must successfully pass four midterms first. Testing involves performing your traditional form, weapons form or board break (depending on the cycle), and sparring.
